Media Center is an online media storage in which you can manage your images, documentation, and videos; and use them to create products and decorate your store
1.Accessing Media Center
Media Center is located within Seller Center. There are 2 ways in which you can access Media Center. You can access simply by going to your Seller Center account, click on Products > Media Center, and you will be directed to Media Center.
You can also access by entering one of the following URL on your internet browser (e.g. Chrome):
2.1 Upload images to Media Center
There are two methods in which images can be uploaded in Media Center: From your internal directory or from an online URL.
2.1.1 Upload images from an internal directory:
Make sure you are on the right folder that you want to upload your images, click on “Upload Image”
There will be a pop-up for you to upload images. Here you can either drag and drop images from internal directory into the pop-up or click in the grey area to browse your local files.
Once you selected the images, they will be uploaded immediately. We will be presented with an upload progress bar. The progress bar shows you the status of an individual file that you are uploading. You can choose to hide the progress bar and still see a summary of the status.
2.1.2 Upload Images from URLs:
To upload images from selected URLs, select “Upload Image”, then choose “URL” on the pop-up window. Copy and paste the images’ URLs you want to upload in the input field.
You can paste in multiple URLs to upload multiple images at once. Make sure you hit “Enter” between the URLs. Each URL has to be on a separate line.
2.2 View Images
To view an image, double clicks on the image. A preview of the image should be shown in full-screen. The preview window also shows some basic information of the image such as Name, Size, and Dimensions. In addition to this information, you can also execute the following actions to the image:
- Copy image URL (both normal URL and URL)
- Download the image
2.3 Rename Images
To rename an image, right click on the image. An action dropdown menu will appear with an option to Rename image. Click on “Rename” to change the name of your image.
2.4 Delete Images
To delete an image, right click on the image. An action dropdown menu will appear with option to Delete image. Click on “Delete” to remove your image from Media Center.
There will be pop-up warning to make sure you are not accidentally deleting your files. Hit “OK” if you are sure to remove this image from Media Center.
2.5 Copy/Export Image URL
To copy an image URL, right click on the image. An action dropdown menu will appear with option to “Copy URLs” or “Export URLs” in a csv file.
Click on Copy URL to copy your image’s URL
Or click on “Export URLs” to export image’s url in a csv file
2.6 Crop Images
To crop an image, right click on the image. An action dropdown menu will appear with option to “Edit Image”
Crop your image to suitable size and hit “Save and Exit”
3.1 Create a Folder
To create a new Folder, click on “New Folder” button on the top menu.
The application will then create a new folder for you. Define the name for your new folder.
3.2 View a Folder
To view a folder, double click on the folder.
3.3 Rename a Folder
To rename a folder, right click on the folder. An action dropdown menu will appear with option to Rename folder. Click on “Rename” to change the name of your folder.
3.4 Delete a Folder
To delete a folder, right click on the folder. An action dropdown menu will appear with option to delete folder. Click on “Delete” to your folder from Media Center.
There will be pop-up warning to make sure you are not accidentally deleting your files. Hit “OK” if you are sure to remove this folder from Media Center
4.1.1 Simple Search
You can search for your image/folder by typing in its name in the search bar
To clear your search, click on “Clear Search Result”
4.1.2 Advanced Search
Advanced Search helps you to reduce the number of files shown even more to your desired selections. Click on “Advanced” in the search bar. Here you can set up several rules before searching. This helps to narrow the search to get more accurate result.
You will be able to set up following rules:
- Set up time range: Once this option is selected, the search will look only at files that were uploaded within this time frame.
- Search only in current folder: Once this option is selected, the search will look only at files in the current folder.
You can select one or multiple rules at a time. For example, you can select Upload Time = 1stMay to 5thMay, and Search in current folder. Then don’t forget to type in your image name in the search bar. The results should match all these criteria.
