HTML Tips and Tricks: Text Formatting

Seller Support Desk

In any business, product presentation is considered as a major factor when it comes to conversion. As members of thriving-commerce community, LAZADA sellers are encouraged to learn basic Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) in order to organize and customize the way on how their item information will be presented.

Intimidating as it might sound, HTML coding is actually easy and fun to learn. The Seller Center utilizes minimal HTML tags and only a few of them are considered "mandatory" for product creation. For instance, you have to use the Bullet Tag in order to create your product highlights.

Here's an example of the Bullet Tag in raw form and how it would appear in the site:

HTML Code for Bullet Points:

<ul><li> Description</li>>

<li>Description</li></ul>

Example:

<ul><li>OS 8, upgradable to iOS 8.3</li>
 <li>4.7" LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen</li>
 <li>Dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone (ARM v8-based)</li>
 <li>16GB ROM</li>
 <li>8MP Rear Camera, 1.2MP Front Camera</li>
 <li>Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0Nano-SIM</li></ul>

LAZADA considers product highlights as a mandatory attribute and it should always be presented in the above stated form. In addition to this, there are also optional HTML coding which can be done for your product's long description.

Here's a quick rundown of the HTML codings that you can use for your long description.

Bold = <b>text</b>

Next line = <br>

Paragraph = <br><br>
